International Symposium on Society and Resource Management

The International Symposium on Society and Resource Management is the official annual meeting of the International Association for Society and Natural Resources, an interdisciplinary professional association whose members bring a variety of social science and natural science backgrounds to their research on environmental and natural resource issues.

This prestigious conference will be held in Asia for the very first time. It will be soon realized in 2011, barely three years from now, and the lucky one is Malaysia. More interesting is the fact that the 17th ISSRM 2011 will not be hosted by Universiti Malaya, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia or even Universiti Sains Malaysia. Instead, the honour is offered to Universiti Malaysia Sabah. Many congratulations to the bidding team for all the efforts, to make this happens!
